Mom, Missy, some friends from our ward, and I decided to spoil ourselves for Christmas and see the musical "Wicked" at the Detroit Opera House (which is a phenomenal venue, by the way). All I have to say about it is: BRILLIANT! Worth every penny... and it took quite a few:) I'd go see it again in a heartbeat. The music was amazing; lighting, costumes and casting were incredible; the story line was soooooooo much better than the book (I could only hack the first hundred pages or so). I'm not a frequent theater-goer, but it blew Phantom, Annie, and the Rockettes out of the water! I'd recommend it to anyone--male, female, young or old. Go and see it if you get the chance!
Here we are getting ready to dash out the door and drive the nearly 3 hours down to the Detroit Opera House. Can you tell I'm still trying to get over a huge cold? I look stunning, I know, puffy face and all:)
