Chicken farmers

We've been wanting to get some egg-laying hens for a while. I finally broke down and ordered some day-old chicks from the feed store. Originally, I only wanted 2 but the lady I put my order in with said to over-order "in case they don't all make it." Who can say no to those cute little fuzzy puff balls with legs? So we now are the proud owner of 4 chicks, Mabel (short for Maybeline... she's got some wicked eye-liner going on), Gertrude, Angus and Malcom (I know, I know... those last 2 aren't "girl" names, but we had to pay some sort of tribute to AC DC). You can barely see the 4th chick behind the glass jar. She's a little camera-shy. Once they're old enough to start laying, the yellow and brown stripey chicks will lay green eggs! Green eggs and ham, anyone?

About Me

To make a long fairy-tale story short: We met while teenagers, both ended up attending college at BYU, we dated "seriously" (or not...) and were married in 2000. We now have the three cutest little boys in the world, well, 4 counting the dog.
