It's been forever since we've updated our blog! Life is busy... what can I say!? In Jan we headed to the AMA ice racing championships. They have it every year during the "Freeze-X-Fest" (say that 10 times fast out-loud to yourself... :). Super fun and AMAZING to watch those guys hit those turns on the oval at near 75 mph--on the ICE!!!!!

The little guys.... There was one girl and 3 boys in this heat. They were super cute!

Corbin is lovin' life!

There was a snow-cross there (if you can call it that... one ramp does not a snow-cross make...) and Jimmy Blaze and his crew were doing some stunts. One guy didn't quite make his landing and landed on the side of his sled taking a handlebar to the chest and face--ouch! Made for a good reaction from the crowd, though.

We've been sledding a time or two on the hill out behind our house. Sure it's man-made (it has to be for us flat-landers) but it's just the right grade% for a nice, long, kid-friendly run.

We had to make our annual Santa House run this year. Corbin (finally) JUMPED up on Santa's lap rather than scream and try to run away. I think if Corbin wouldn't have been so excited about telling Santa his Christmas wish list that Kyler would have been in hysterics. :) Kyler looks up to Corbin so much.

For Christmas this year we were able to spend it in beautiful VA with my family. Love, love, love VA!! Especially since they had a much whiter Christmas this year than we would have back home in MI. The photo above is from our trip to Maymont. If you are ever in Richmond this is a must-see. Amazing botanical grounds, petting-zoo, nature center, mansion tours, etc.

My beautiful family! It was great to spend time with them. This was the last Christmas my brother Casey would be home for the next 2 years so we made this a little "family reunion" trip. He's leaving to serve a mission for our church to Barcelona, Spain the first week of March. We love you Case and miss you already!

During October and November the boys had their first experience with swimming lessons. Luckily, we live near CMU! They offer a lot of fun programs for the kids in the community so we figured this would give us an excuse to get out and make the best of the cold weather. Corbin LOVED it!

Kyler, on the other hand, wasn't such a fan. I think the temperature of the water was a huge deterrent for him. Burrrrr.

My mom and brother came to visit us during the weekend of Halloween. I can't believe my baby brother's all grown up and practically a missionary:) We had a blast while they were out here. We went to the local shooting range and unloaded a few rounds...

Started a Loucks family tradition of bowling on Halloween... (and nearly got kicked out of the bowling alley:)

And had LOADS of fun with grandma!! Thanks guys for coming! We love you!
