Once a beach girl... ALWAYS a beach girl...

I am thankful for the opportunity I had to move around while I was growing up. Living in the different areas I did taught me many things about myself. One of which is the fact that you can take the girl away from the beach, but you can't take the beach out of the girl. Maybe it stems from my toddler-hood of walking along the CA beaches chasing shore birds with my parents, or finding tide pools; or maybe my obsession with the beach comes from my high school days of living in FL with the greatest white sand beaches on earth; or all of those family vacations in HI, but one thing I know is that if there's water and sand... I'll be there. One of the things I've come to love about MI is the fact that we are completely surrounded by water and have 1000's of inland lakes to explore! My (or should I say our) love of the beach has fueled many of the "mommy days" this summer. (FYI: Corbin calls my days off work "mommy days," vs. "daycare days")

Corbin's always running up and down the beach chasing the waves, sea gulls, or Kyler.

Sometimes when we're at Lake Michigan I feel like I'm on a gulf beach in FL. The water is so clear you can see straight to the bottom... and this summer the water temp has been 80's! Perfection!!

This is what happens when we maximize our "beach time." Poor Kyler has to nap in the sand:).

About Me

To make a long fairy-tale story short: We met while teenagers, both ended up attending college at BYU, we dated "seriously" (or not...) and were married in 2000. We now have the three cutest little boys in the world, well, 4 counting the dog.
