Poor attempt to play CATCH-UP

Since the year is nearly over I thought I'd finally update the blog. It's nice to look back through the posts as an "illustrated journal" of sorts of the Louckses-Goings-On, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out we've slacked on the blog this year:)

Here's a quick re-count of our October:

The daycare (AKA our neighbors) had their yearly trip to the local pumpkin patch. This was our 4th annual visit and 3 kids later...
Corbin still likes to find the biggest one he can carry...
and Kyler still likes to find the smallest one. At least this year the pumpkin was orange. Usually they're still green. This was the only way he'd let me take a picture of him with his pumpkin.

Here's his typical "I don't want to smile for the camera" face while I'm trying to capture him finding his perfect pumpkin.

Halloween this year snuck up on us me. The boys had had their costumes all chosen since July practically and I was frantically trying to find something for the baby and I. So frantic in fact, that I failed to even get a photo of all of us in our costumes. (If I get lucky and find a photo of Dax in his [real] bumblebee outfit then I'll post it later).

Our tradition of pre-trick-or-treating bowling:
Corbin was the fearless Bumblebee [the Transformer].
And Kyler was Spiderman for the second year in a row... a little stretched out and a little too short... but Spiderman nonetheless.

Our November went something like this:

We blessed Dax the first Sunday in November and were so very fortunate to have both sets of grandparents present for the occasion. We had a fun, quick weekend with everyone here and are grateful they were willing to make the sacrifice to come participate in Dax's blessing.

While everyone was here we even had a special guest pay us a surprise visit ...

The boys were in swimming lessons again this fall. They both loved it... at first. For some unknown reason Kyler REFUSED to go to 3 of his 8 lessons. Oh the scene at the  pool was journal-worthy. Kyler refusing to get into the water, me trying to sweet-talk him into it, Dax screaming from his car seat on the opposite side of the pool (BTW the acoustics in an indoor pool are phenomenal:), and Corbin desperately trying to console Dax during the whole ordeal. Let's just say I think I'm disqualified for "Mother of the Year" nominations after that. The looks I was getting from the other waiting parents will be forever burned into my memory.

Kyler obviously on one of his "good nights" at swimming lessons with his teacher.

Corbin loved the dive tank this year. He definitely had the best "cannon balls" of the class!

Our December thus far:

My good friend from PT school invited us to their little girl's birthday party. It was at a children's museum we haven't been to yet and the boys LOVED it. It was very age-appropriate for my 5- and 3- year-olds...
... and 35 year-old:) Not so much for the balding 2.5 month-old according to this photo.

It was a pirate-themed birthday and we couldn't resist spreading the festivities.

About Me

To make a long fairy-tale story short: We met while teenagers, both ended up attending college at BYU, we dated "seriously" (or not...) and were married in 2000. We now have the three cutest little boys in the world, well, 4 counting the dog.
