Papa's Pumpkin Patch 2009

Every year Corbin BEGS to go to Papa's Pumpkin Patch. This year we went with his little preschool friends from church and their moms. A fun way to spend one of the last nice-weather days of the Fall.
We're gearin' up for our tractor hayride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins.

This is Papa. He's owned the farm since 1974 and now his son pretty much keeps the place running. Papa is the incessant tour guide and one of those super nice old guys you just want to squish! He'll tell you everything and anything you want to know about anything....

Out in the pumkin patch looking for "the one." It's so hard amongst acres and acres of perfect pumpkins:).

For some reason Corbin ALWAYS finds the smallest, greenest pumpkin to take home. He's done it 3 years in a row now. My rule was "if you can carry it, you can have it" so that's why we had to convince Kyler to go with something a little more manageable. It's too tough trying to carry a 32-pound kid on one hip, plus one holding on to one of my appendages, and precariously balancing a large pumkin in the other free hand. Tried that one last year and didn't do too well. The poor pumpkin met his demise just after getting off the tractor hayride... opps! Good thing it wasn't one of the kids:).

After the tractor hayride was the Gator-train.

Kyler was the caboose (briefly--he wasn't a very big fan of riding solo).

Corbin always doing his "stunts." We're making a gentle right-hand turn here yet Corbin has to corner it burm-style. He cracks me up! This kid is going to be hell on wheels.

In the bounce house

You can't pass up the fresh donuts and hot cider at the end of all the pumpkin festivities! Happy Fall!!!

About Me

To make a long fairy-tale story short: We met while teenagers, both ended up attending college at BYU, we dated "seriously" (or not...) and were married in 2000. We now have the three cutest little boys in the world, well, 4 counting the dog.
