Clare has a local pumpkin weigh-off at the end of the summer. Zack works with the two brothers that win it every year so we thought we'd go and check out their giants. Here's the line-up, but pathetic thing is, is these aren't even their biggest giants. They save those for the state weigh-offs. Zack's friend still holds the state record for a 1500+ -pounder.
Corbin next to the winner. This monster weighed in at 1040#.
Of course the boys LOVED the tractor as much (or more) than the giant pumpkins.
How'd you like to follow that truck down the highway?
Thought we'd get some ideas as to how to carve our giant pumpkins we grew this year. The walls of these things are super thick so I think we're going to have to attack ours with a sawzall. :)
